Do not get easily fooled by Scams and Hoaxes.
Here are some website that has lists of Scams and Hoaxes:
Please note that I've heard from some people who have been receiving e-mail or enveloppe in the mail containing information that you have won the lottery. Read the letter carefully!. Please note that US government will NOT send you a notification through your e-mail and will NOT ask you for your credit card payment through e-mail or telephone.
If you received an enveloppe in the mail and asking you to provide your credit card payment by e-mail or telephone, most likely some scammer is trying to get your money.
The actual process is that you need to fill out a legal form from the US government. You will need to return this form to the local US government office such as US Embassy or Consular Office. Please check if the address given as the return address is truly belong to the US Embassy or Consular.
The Visa Fee is usually collected and payable after your interview at the US Embassy or Consular Offices, NOT by telephone or by e-mail.
I will be updating this website on some tips and information for the new immigrant while we're waiting for the next news on Green Card Lottery or Diversity Lottery.
Thank you and Welcome to America if you have won your Green Card Lottery !
